Today lesson was on addition with regrouping. The pupils worked in pairs to work on the base 10 sets to show how the regrouping of the 10 ones to 1 ten is done.
Conceptually, with the base ten set they understood that the 1 ten came from the 10 ones they have regrouped in the Ones Place Value chart.
The hands on with the base ten set reinforced their understanding of adding and they then took turns to do the procedural task of adding. We have a great lesson today.
