Mathematics Lesson - Addition With Regrouping

We started this Term 3 with Addition of Numbers Within 40.
Today lesson was on addition with regrouping. The pupils worked in pairs to work on the base 10 sets to show how the regrouping of the 10 ones to 1 ten is done.

Conceptually, with the base ten set they understood  that the 1 ten came from the 10 ones they have regrouped in the Ones Place Value chart.

The hands on with the base ten set reinforced their understanding of adding and they then took turns to do the procedural task of adding. We have a great lesson today.

   

Miss Lim's Birthday Celebration

We have a small celebration during recess today as it will be Miss Lim's birthday tomorrow.
The class was excited as I informed them yesterday that they could make a card for Miss Lim if they want.

We have a great time bonding with each other over food.

We love you Miss Lim and thank you for your dedication and love in teaching our children. I am truely blessed to have you as my colleague and our class teacher.
